An unused PATENT ADJUSTABLE COMBINATION COMPASS AND DIVIDER as produced by the Eagle Pencil Company, New York, New York. This complex measuring and drawing device is marked with the specifications for U.S. Patent No. 1730496, issued to John Henry Fischer of New York City and assigned to the Eagle Pencil Company on October 8, 1929. The genius of the device is a reversible tip having an adjustable pencil point on one end and a pointed divider on the other, allowing the device to function as both a compass for drawing circles and a divider for gauging disance. It is marked with both the maker name and the designation "Pat. No. 1,730,496" and it is in unused condition. It is in new condition in its original pasteboard box. Length = 5.88 Inches.
